  1. When you are rich and there is no need to worry about your family: you are calm

  2. Cred to Master Oogway for teaching us this in Kung Fu Panda, โ€œYour mind is like the water, my friend; when it is agitated it becomes difficult to see. But if you allow it to settle, the answer becomes clear.โ€

  3. This is one attribute essential in the martial art discipline.
To keep calm for anger clouds your ability to think straight.
    Breathing techniques also help.

  4. Actually i know this state very well- its amazing how it just turns on during the chaos- its like being in the eye of the hurricane- amazing feeling/state ^^ <3

  5. Those mother babies stay calm because they know they can take advantage of a crises. Sometimes the same they created.

  6. They are calm because they were knowing exactly what they need to do. Those guys were causing crisises ๐Ÿ˜‰
Thid way there could not only stay in the list but even go to the top.

  7. If memory serves me correctly, I watched a Chinese KungFu film which potrays the main character as a calm guy with only average kung fu skills. The way he defeats his enemies is by making them angry which results in them losing fighting tempo.

  8. They were all calm when everyone is upset….. You know that’s a psychopath right ๐Ÿ‘

  9. @Slidewayz95
    Respect 2 U for recognizing ๐Ÿ’Ž๐Ÿค™๐Ÿฝ

  10. Easier said than done. I usually do anything that takes my mind off the problem and try to focus again with fresh thoughts. Gym is one good thing to reset for sure.

  11. So True! My brother was talking to a man who had asked him for directions. And then suddenly, the man pulled out a gun holding it to my brother’s chest. My brother stayed calm, and kept talking as though nothing strange was happening. He said that the man could not believe that he did not flinch or show any fear at all. And when the man put the gun down to his side, that is when my brother who is a black belt in karate took him down.

  12. On a non financial parallel I’ve worked in an Emergency Room for years. The overwhelming majority of my coworkers have an innate sense of calm during a crisis and I can assure you we are extremely effective!!! Love this insight

  13. That’s exactly what my dad told me and what I learned working at my dad’s business ( as a grocery store and a motel manager currently) since the age of 18 (22 now). You let the other guy get angry but you stay calm. Either he collects himself because he realizes that he is behaving in an unhinged manner or he just leaves because he couldn’t trigger an aggressive response from you. Many times I would get put into stressful situations, I’d say once a month it was really dangerous and I was very nervous, I’d get threatened because of how upset someone got for no good reason, but because of me staying calm and being aware that there are cameras inside and in the parking lot so I could report the guy to the police and sue him if he wasn’t a broke lowlife if he were to attack me unprovoked I never got into a physical altercation with anybody and I always stood up for other coworkers (all of whom are women in their mid 20s who always get picked on by men).

  14. My gosh, I wish I’d had this wisdom stamped on my front door and my forehead…lol… when I was starting out in life

  15. I was this way when my brother passed. I can handle all the in and outs, put aside my emotions and get to work. But then, I have to let all the pinned up emotions out, or else you can fall out quickly

  16. This is taught in Emotional Intelligence seminars. Your frontal cortex shuts down when upset or angry. I teach the children in my life to use whatever works for their personality to stay centered rather than let things spin them out of control. You see and hear more. You’re able to focus on the issue at hand and be rational.

  17. That is so interestingโ€ฆ when Iโ€™ve been in life threatening situations (and Iโ€™ve had many of those) I canโ€™t explain it but I get extremely โ€œcalmโ€ and become hyper focused which always saves my life. I never knew there was a legit scientific explanation for it. I just thought I always reacted oddly since most people panic. Now I know. ๐Ÿค”

  18. Ripped almost directly from the Tao Te Ching and Theravada Buddhist texts. (2600 years old)

  19. I developed this trait after quite a few very traumatic events in my lifetime. Within the last 5 or so years I began becoming oddly calm during times of crisis (not purposely, it just naturally happened). Itโ€™s almost chilling the way I am able to slow down my actions/turn off my extreme emotions/and focus, plan, strategize. It has helped me very much and Iโ€™m thankful that this is how I react now. I made a lot of mistakes in my teens/early 20s during traumatic events that negatively effected the outcome. Now, it seems, that Iโ€™m much better at getting to have some say-so in the way i deal with and recover from trauma.

  20. I agree to some degree. You might be rich and loose all of it too. It is not like smelling roses everyday. If you make it you are going to be surrounded family and friends and extended crowd all out of sudden would want to get involved in your labors fruits. How you gonna handle that ? Or the lawyers, accountants, government, current economy stats. Heck even just simple cleaning lady at house. Everyday you got to manage people and make decisions they all desire something. There is definitely going to some interest conflict any day. Are you going to be able to keep it cool and enjoy what you have ?

  21. @Aleyna Mutlu to that guy “rich people don’t have problems”

  22. No worries about having to work 2 jobs because companies will not hire you full-time so as not to pay you benefits. The wealthy remain calm because they can afford exorbant costs for cancer drugs or those for immune conditions, afford their rent or home insurance, and not have to live in a redline area, live with stress or hypertension of racism. The rich can be calm and not have to experience demeaning comments like how JLo treats service employees.

  23. @Sylvia Hadley is the wealthy includes the ones who struggles from the bottom, find an opportunity and execute it well? Or the wealthy means exclusively the ultra rich and celebs?

  24. Bruce Lee explained this mental function in far less words, and how to apply it to your life!
Not just for fighting or training in the martial arts, that was just the analogy he used naturally!
Now he is remembered as a icon of the martial arts and a superstar actor that created how a fight scene should be filmed and choreographed!!!
Every action movie since Bruce Lee’s movies have used his breakthrough ideology! ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘
