- Patriots Point Naval & Maritime Museum – Here you will find the Aircraft carrier USS Yorktown and Submarine USS Clamagore
- Fort Sumter National Monument – Location where hostilities began in the American Civil War.
- North Charleston Riverfront Park – Location of Charleston Navy Base and Naval Shipyard Memorial
- Fort Moultrie – A battle sight in the American Revolutionary War in which the British were defeated.

By all means, a trip to Charleston isn’t complete until you’ve visited The Battery.

Spoleto Festival USA
Spoleto Festival USA is an arts festival running for 17 days across different venues. The festival is modeled after an event in Spoleto, Italy.
As a result, visitors can see a diverse range of activity, involving opera, dance and classical music.
Also, there are several theater productions, including premieres from well known playwrights.
Occasionally, some of the world’s most respected musicians and composers attend the festival.
The MOJA Festival is two weeks of African American and Caribbean music, art and culture. The Maritime tradition is commemorated at the Charleston Maritime Festival.
Therefore, visitors will have an opportunity to see beautifully designed tall ships in all their glory.
Also, displays of traditional boat making techniques and wooden boats and maritime art are available. Highlight of the event is the challenging Charleston to Bermuda boat Race.
Cooper River Bridge Run
At the present time, top athletes from around the world and celebrities support the Cooper River Bridge Run.
The event, which is held in Charleston South Carolina and nearby Mount Pleasant, is an official elite road race over 10,000m.
As a result, to see so many people running over one of the most elegant bridges in the world is quite a sight to see.
