Just A Word About Discount Tanning Lotions
By Bob Pardue Photography
This interesting article addresses some of the
key issues regarding tanning. A careful reading of this material
could make a big difference in how you think about
tanning.
People love sporting a healthy tan! By the way,
how did these two terms ever get put together? Healthy and tan.
That's kind of like saying nutritious Happy Meal. It's an enigma for
sure. However, people tend to think that a tan appears healthier than
their real skin tone.
Therefore products such as discount tanning
lotions will continually be in demand. These days people even want to
get their tan on year round. Heaven forbid they look pale during the
winter months. Luckily for all you sun bunnies out there, this is a
possibility. Let the local tanning salons be your savior.
Is everything making sense so far? If not, I'm
sure that with just a little more reading, all the facts will fall
into place.
You may have thought it was gone with the
1980s, but let me reassure you, discount tanning lotions are in full
effect. Then again, so are the 80s it seems. Just take a gander at
some of the fashion trends kids are adopting now. It's like "Duran
Duran" all over again. Anyway, last summer I noticed my teenage
daughter
was lathering up with some sort of questionable tanning oil.
I promptly informed her why those were a major no-no. The oil
actually draws the UV rays into your skin. This way you become like a
magnet for the sun's powerful rays. If you're looking to get roasted,
this is definitely the way to do it. She responded with "That's
awesome!" Apparently it's exactly what she wanted. And even though I
advised strongly against it, like an 18 year old, she went ahead and
did it anyway. Go figure! Needless to say she received a pretty heavy
tan along with plenty of peeling that followed. no one ever cares for
that part of the tanning process. So the moral of the story is; steer
clear of all discount tanning lotions. They're sold cheap for a
reason.
Let's examine the flip side. Imagine if there
was an alternative to spending money on discount tanning lotions and
laying out in the sun or a tanning bed on a regular basis. Hey wait;
there totally is a second option. It's commonly known as self-tanner.
This is the safe way to get golden brown in this day and age. I
highly suggest you look into it. Why damage your skin and risk
getting cancer if you don't have to?
So now you know a little bit about tanning.
Even if you don't know everything, you've done something worthwhile:
you've expanded your knowledge.
