If you plan a trip to serenity now, keep Hunting Island South Carolina in mind.
The SC state park captures the beauty of “Gilligan’s Island” while preserving the nostalgia of grand old lighthouses.

I captured this stock image while Jean & I visited Beaufort SC on a stock photo assignment.
Then, we followed up with several trips to the island each time we traveled to the low country. I strongly suggest trekking to this side road trip if you ever find yourself in the area.

About the Light House at Hunting Island
“The Hunting Island Lighthouse resides in Hunting Island State Park — on Hunting Island near Beaufort, South Carolina.
Although no longer used as a functioning lighthouse, the tower remains a tourist fixture at the state park.
And, visitors regularly visit the island and its main attraction. It was named to the National Register of Historic Places in 1970.” – Wiki
