What You Should Know About The Andrew Jackson State Park SC
The Andrew Jackson State Park SC is continually one of the most popular parks in South Carolina.
And, this is true for a very good reason.
The state park is definitely not a boring one. It combines many different events throughout the year within its premises, giving people a reason to go there.
What are the Andrew Jackson State Park Events?
Well, they run the spectrum of historical, artistic and community events. If you are visiting South Carolina, you can’t go wrong paying the park a visit.
Highlights of the park include living history programs along with an Andrew Jackson museum.
Other park points of interest in the park include:
- an 18th-century replica schoolhouse (above),
- camping grounds,
- picnic facilities,
- a wooden amphitheater
- and, a large fishing lake with character trails.
You can have a self-led tour from the park museum and schoolhouse throughout the hours when these facilities are open.
Pets are permitted in many outside areas as long as they are on a leash not more than six ft.
Pet owners are going to be requested to get rid of noisy or harmful pets or pets that threaten or harass wildlife.
Other than the fair warning on pets, you can pretty much do anything at this park. I’ve visited Andrew Jackson State Park many times with my family and I am always amazed at how alive it becomes, with people flocking the area to attend an event.
Of course, I intend to shoot stock photography of the area each time but, you probably have other intentions for visiting the historic attraction.
I highly recommend going to the park for some serious rest and recreation.
Of course, just like any other park, it has restrictions on what you can and can’t do there but these don’t hinder your ability to have fun in the park.
