Once my mom took me shopping and she stopped and picked a big shirt off the rack and handed it to me. I held it up against me and looked at her like she was nuts. She started laughing and explained that she wasn’t expecting me to wear it to school, but instead I should have it for sleeping.
She said that everyone should have one big shirt to wear to bed each night, and the sleepwear is far more comfortable to sleep in than pajamas. She put a few in the cart for me, and I have slept in one ever since. She was right!
I would give the same advice
to my friends, and I will tell my daughter that
some thing one day. In fact, she already sleeps
in a big shirt some nights, and it is because I
want her to be comfortable.
Pajamas are good to wear as womens sleepwear, but they can sometimes be constrictive when you are sleeping at night. You don’t have to worry much about a big shirt binding up your legs when you move, and they are far sturdier than most of the nighties that I have had. I don’t know about you, but I move around all night while sleeping and I don’t want clothing getting in the way.
Another great thing about a big shirt is that you don’t have to pay a lot for them. You can get some for just a few bucks. They aren’t meant to be fashionable, but you can find some that are good enough. If you buy a big shirt in a plain color, you don’t have to worry about it. Your big shirt doesn’t have to be too big, but make sure you have room to move around comfortably without having to rearrange your clothing when you roll over at night.
There are times when you won’t want to wear a big shirt to bed though. You have to remember that your husband might want to see you in something else once in a while, and there is nothing wrong with that.
The big shirt might be something that helps you sleep better, but on occasion break out something a little less comfortable to keep him happy. You can always get up in the middle of the night to change if you need to, but do something to keep the romance alive once in a while. Just make sure he does the same for you. Now, go and get your big shirt so you can experience this wonderful side of womens sleepwear!!
