For Girls and Guys Starting a
Modeling Career
If you are between 13 and 15 year old
teenager or maybe over 21 and you are wanting to become a
model, here are a few tips and requirements for different
types.
Types of Models
There are many different types of
modeling jobs available and so you first need to see where
your look belongs. Here are some of the
categories.
Runway - Walking the catwalk for
local or national fashion shows but be prepared for stiff
competition.
High Fashion - Again, very tough
to break in but apply to companies like IMG or maybe Ford
Management to get involved.
Glamour - This type is bold and
beautiful. You need a curvy body and you'll need to be
willing to join the women who pose in swimsuits or even
less clothing. Suggest at least 21 years old to make this
decision.
Commercial - Less demanding. For
example you don't always have to be tall or thin to get
jobs in this modeling category. You'll be advertising
products or services so the agency needs a look for a
particular project or client.
Figure or Artistic - Again, a thin
body type normally and you will be wearing even
less.
Other modeling jobs for male and
female includes body parts, petite, plus size and senior or
mature models. Teenagers also make up a big part of the
industry in different areas.

many different opportunities for teens and adults, and even
children in the modeling business but take a good look in
