From Beachwear to Victoria Secret – Miranda Kerr

Australian super-model Miranda May Kerr, born April 20, 1983, started her modeling career at the age of 13 with Chaay’s Modeling Agency.
During this time she won the 1997 annual Dolly Magazine/Impulse model competition.
Later, she signed to Chic Management’s Sydney division and received a considerable amount of exposure from beachwear ads.
This led to her relocation to New York where she become co-owner of the Bowery Ballroom. In 2004, MIranda signed with NEXT Model Management after she appeared in many runway appearances.
Runway and Print Modeling
And even more bookings for Miranda included runway and fashion print campaigns for many major labels, including Levi’s, Betsey Johnson, Jets, Baby Phat. Other bookings were for print in magazines such as Harper’s Bazaar and Elle.
In 2006, Miranda was the first woman to walk down the catwalk when she appeared in the final episode of the TV show Project Runway, modeling clothes for contestant Daniel Vosovic’s final collection.
Her debut with the United States market was when she signed a lucrative cosmetics contract with Maybelline New York.
These ads ran in internationally sold women’s beauty magazines, including Cosmopolitan, CLEO, and Elle, and was eventually featured in Victoria’s Secret catalogs
In 2007, Kerr became the first Australian model to participate in the Victoria Secret campaign and was chosen as one of the Victoria’s Secret Angels.
#10 Top Earning Model
In 2008, Kerr was #10 in the list of the world’s top-earning models, having earned an estimated $3.5 million in the past 12 months.
But, she didn’t stop here – In 2012, she released Treasure Yourself, a self-help book for female teenagers on self-esteem
In January 2011, Kerr became the first pregnant model for Vogue when featured in Vogue Australia and in January 2012, she was named ambassador for Qantas.
