High school girls always look forward to that one big night. It's that big event when they get to stay out late and just have a ball with their buddies.

Do you remember the prom? I know I do. It actually seems like it was just yesterday. Time moves so quickly once high school is through. Anyway, that magical night of beautiful prom dresses, dashing tuxedos, limousines and mingling will be around again soon.

The high school dance comes every year and I don't think the tradition is stopping anytime in the near future. Do you know where you're going to shop for that ideal dress that no other girl at your prom can touch?

The Prom Gown - It's a Girl Thing

It's a huge deal for girls and their beautiful prom dresses. I found this out a couple years back when my teenage daughter attended her junior prom.

Yikes, I couldn't believe what a fuss she made over the dress issue.

As a guy, I never did any of this. We guys just rent our tuxedos and roll out. But for girls, it's a completely different end of the spectrum. There is a great deal of browsing involved where beautiful prom dresses are concerned. Not to mention a lot of trying-on.

My daughter took this to the next level. Or at least i assume this was bizarre behavior. Every time she tried on a prom dress, my wife was forced to take several pictures of her on a digital camera, from all different angles of course.

This way she was able to view the picture sets and see what the dress would look like in pictures, and to her peers. I guess it's a good thing we did it. Heaven forbid we should purchase the wrong prom dress! So, after about seven different stores and thirty odd dresses, we seemed to have found THE ONE. It was a sort of lime green, believe it or not. Who'd have ever thought?

Clearly there are a number of places to search for beautiful prom dresses online. While the Internet is one, be sure to remember that it's practically imperative to try the dresses on first. Maybe the "beautiful prom dresses" won't be so beautiful after all, or maybe they just won't fit right.

My reccommendation is that every teenage girl, including you, search for beautiful prom dresses in local stores first This way you'll be certain to find the one that fits and looks the way you expect it to.
