New Beginners – Learning How to be a Female Model

Let’s face it, there are sooo many books, tapes and videos out there for beginners in modeling and many give very good advice. Now, I join the ranks of yet another photographer who is writing about how to be a female model.

Want to become one?
Well, there are many ways to get started as shown in the tips above but remember to take it slow. Patience is a good virtue when you are a beginner in the entertainment industry. Find first what type modeling you want to do – i.e. glamour, runway, fashion, promotional, commercial, etc. This will give you the place to begin your practice.

Learn some poses
After you decide to get into some sort of modeling career, start with mimicking the professionals. Go to your local newstand (or online to a fashion or glamour site) and see how they constituted their posing techniques and facial expressions.

Also, watch for body language when learning how to be a female model and then start to change these things as you practice in the mirror or even for a friend’s camera.
