How did she get started?
A glamour modeling and singing career led television personality Carmen Electra to success as a presenter and actress. Born in Ohio in 1972, Carmen wanted to make it as a singer and recorded one album. Small TV roles followed, then she posed for Playboy magazine. This gained her some fame and a serious television career beckoned.

From MTV to Baywatch
The MTV game show, Singled Out, hired Carmen Electra to present. Carmen brought her sense of fun to the dating show. Her big break came when she was cast as lifeguard Lani McKenzie in Baywatch. She was part of the cast from 1997 until 1998, watched by millions of people, as the show was the most popular across the world.

Modeling to commercials to movies
Carmen Electra also appeared in the movie that reunited the cast in Baywatch: Hawaiian Wedding in 2003. In addition to TV shows, she has appeared in commercials for the Taco Bell fast food chain and for Maxim, advertising hair color products for men. Today, Carmen is representing the Ritz Camera Center company.

The actress has appeared in a number of popular movies, specializing in spoofs and parodies. The horror spoof, Scary Movie was released in 2000 and Carmen Electra took the role of Drew Decker.

She also played another part, as Holly, in Scary Movie 4 in 2006. Carmen was hired to play the part of Staci in the 2004 spoof of Starsky and Hutch, starring Ben Stiller and Owen Wilson. She played Anne in Date Movie, which satirized romantic comedies.

Epic Movie spoofed many different films, in which Carmen played the X-Men character, Mystique. More satire followed in 2008 when Carmen Electra played Queen Margo in Meet the Spartans.

The media world has, of course, taken a lot of interest in Carmen Electra’s private life. Her romantic involvements include the rock star, Prince and B-Real from the group, Cypress Hill. She has also had two brief marriages. The first was to basketball star, Dennis Rodman, from 1998 to 1999.

 The second marriage was to Dave Navarro, a member of rock bands, Jane’s Addiction and the Red Hot Chili Peppers. This marriage lasted from 2003 until 2007. The relationship with Navarro was under the public microscope when he and Carmen Electra appeared in the reality show, ‘Til Death Do Us Part: Carmen and Dave. Viewers saw the couple as they fell in love and got married.
