Uploading Your Pictures
Online
It's all in the source. You need good
photos to begin with but the editing and uploading comes
next - always a bit of a chore for me!
Going though the host of
images
When I come back from a model photo
shoot or an event of any type, I usually have hundreds of
photos on my camera. This makes picture upload somewhat of a
pain. Though getting them on to my computer from my camera
is pretty simple, sorting them, shrinking them, and then
getting them onto a photo site so I can share them is
troublesome at times.
I always take large photos, about 28
mb, so I can crop them if necessary, and that makes things
harder for me. However, if you just want to get them up and
out there, there are some easier ways to do it.
Kodak vs. the rest of the photo
competition for uploading
There are times when picture upload is
very easy. If you use a Kodak product, you have the option
of uploading straight to their online photo hosting site. If
your photos arent too large, and you dont have
hundreds to sort through, this can be quick and easy.
I have Kodak, but I have never really
done this. I think its about time I started. I have
friends that use this method for picture upload though, and
they often have their stuff up to share online very quickly,
and they are grateful that they dont have to muck
around with them too much.
Go with fast and easy image
processing
If you have to sort through and size
your photos like I do, you have to take more time with your
picture upload. However, when you are ready to put them up
on a site to share online, you can find a few of these sites
that work well and have a very fast picture upload.
Some will upload one at a time, but
they also have an option for uploading a batch at a time.
You do have to wait for the upload, but it is less work this
way, and all you have to do after is arrange them and decide
which to share.
Do some research for good picture
upload websites
Not every site has the fast picture
upload option, so check around before you sign up and pay a
fee for storage of your photos. Some sites are free, but
also have a paid membership for those who have a lot of
photos they want to store and share.
Other sites have a lot of space for
free, and some only allow around thirty photos before you
have to buy a membership. Look around and find what works
best for you.
Remember, if you have Kodak products,
they offer online storage just for you, and that might be
the fastest way to get your pictures online. But, I'm sure
you can find picture upload resources that are as, or almost
as good. If you are not satisfied with one, you can always
switch over to another. d:-)
