Some internships offer hourly compensation depending on the duties defined in the agreement, which is more similar to regular employment but is for a predetermined period of time. At the end of the internship the student will be evaluated and possibly offered a full time position.

There are also entertainment industry jobs for anyone that wants to be an extra in a film production. Extras are always needed for all types of movies, and a specific look is not always required.
Producers are frequently interested in all types of people, and even though most of these entertainment industry jobs do not have speaking parts (some are crowd scenes, etc.), they give people and even commercial models that dont necessarily have any type acting ability a chance to participate.
To get started, scout out the web and search for casting calls held at locations throughout the country on a fairly regular basis.
